If you have more than 1 account on hotmail.com you can check your e-mail in one account by making linked IDs

About linked IDs

If you have a Windows Live ID (The e-mail address and password that you use to sign in to Windows Live programs and services such as Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger; Microsoft services such as Xbox LIVE, MSN, and Office Live; and anywhere else that you see the Windows Live ID logo.) that you use for work and one that you use at home, you can link them. When you link more than one Windows Live ID, you can sign in to a Windows Live ID site or service with one account and still have access to information related to the linked accounts.
